UMDHK Clan History
Here are the events as I remember them.  It's been a long time (well it seems that way) since the beginning, and I think I got everything.

One bright and sunny day, at the UMass Dartmouth campus, Anthropoginist, Gunslinger, and Bioginist were walking to class.  The three, had been playing Half-life Multiplayer for a while, and recently discovered Counterstrike, and introduced it to the rest of their suite.  Bioginist suggested that they start a clan.  It had been on all their minds, but unvoiced until now.  The three began to think of ideas.  Finally the (rather lenthy) UMass Dartmouth Hired Killers was agreed apon, and everyone used it in their multiplayer LAN games.

About a week later, Gunslinger, along with his roommate (Walter-man-in-black) decided to split off and form [DTHK] (Dark Tower Hired Killers) because they had both taken their names from Steven King's series.  Durring this period, Gunslinger recruited Stalwart Yeti for the [DTHK].

As time progressed, Counterstrike quickly replaced the other games, and was exclusively played.  The two clans played on Yodasbarn exclusively (it was always the fastest and, in those days, almost never full).

While this was going on, it had been decided that Anthro would be the leader of UMDHK, and Rock was asked to join, and although he had also been asked by the DTHK, he joined UMDHK.  8-Ball was asked to join soon after, and soon Speed, Bitch, and Kid Creole changed their name, and became known as UMDHK.

Deeply upset by his failure to recruit Rock, and due to the fact that the other members of his clan were almost never seen online, Gunslinger regrettedly rejoined UMDHK.

Online in Yodasbarn, the UMDHK members were introduced to many people, including Devildog,  Dankbud.DAA, and Sureshot, and Monomoke Heme.  Quickly everyone became friends, all of them being regulars in Yodasbarn.  Often they would exchange praises, or the occasional "You Suck!".  This spawned Gunslinger and Rock's tradition of email talking shit.
Devildog soon joined the clan shortly after thanksgiving 1999.  We played with him, constantly begging to join when we saw their worth.  Dankbud consistantly refused.

The UMDHK returned from Christmas break with a few suprises.  Number one:  Our network connection was pluged into a filter, preventing us from playing network games, and Devildog had recruited several new clan members: UncleBob, Ghost, MexChink, Citarian, and somehow Monomoke Hime.  All the clanmembers trapped behind the network filter were reduced to LAN games with puny imbeciles with no skill.  During this time, the remaining Suite members were inducted into the clan: Zeus, and TIM.

When the network connection was restored, those trapped at UMass Dartmouth were greeted by these suprises and the fact that Devildog had listed the clan on the Online Gaming League, and gotten 25 megs of web space for the home page.

By the end of Febuary 2000, Zeus and Citeron had cobbled together servers, and were working out the bugs to get them working perfectly.UMDHK had competed in their first clan ladder match with Identity Crisis, and were on their way to the top, KILLING ANYONE WHO FOOLISHLY STEPPED IN THEIR WAY.

-Addendum

Fall 2000 saw the introduction of more suitemates, as well as the loss of 8-ball, Rock, and later Bitch4.0. To replace them, UMDHK began recruiting again, and as always looked to the suite to fill the ranks. Thus LilTIM, Gusman, Nute, and later Sideburns, and Silencer were added.

Rock, taking it upon himself to add a newbie, called apon Evil Cheese, a fellow classmate of Rock, now at Framingham State.

Early Fall also saw the disolving of the Lemon clan (one of our best competition) and [Lemon]Vengence, and {Lime]Katulus were asked to join UMDHK. They agreed (who wouldn't).

January 2001, Tragedy struck. Yours truly graduated, and left campus. Speed also left, (supposedly) taking a semester off. To fill these ranks, Gusman introduced Maynard_James_Keynan, and Mono brought Iceman.

Now the future is open. There are many questions for the coming semester, and indeed the Future of UMDHK. Will these new recruits prove themselves worthy to carry on the UMDHK name? Will Anthro (now in his fifth year) ever graduate (and thus leave the only thing he got out of school)? Will the new openings demand the recruiting of new blood to fill the thinning ranks? Will UMDHK survive at all without Bio on campus, constantly proving how phenomenol he is and holding the clan together?

Only time will tell...

-The End

The End of UMDHK was officially declared May 14, 2001. There had been a lack of interest over the past semester, and seeing as how half the clan is being kicked out of housing for the next semester, it was time to end it.
